tennis news

Serbian Novak Djokovic, world number 1, needed five sets this Friday to beat Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas (6th ATP), 6-3, 6-2, 5-7, 4-6 and 6-1, in a match that lasted four hours, and now goes to the final of the Roland Garros tournament.

Djokovic will face Spaniard Rafael Nadal on Sunday, who earlier qualified for his 13th decision of the Parisian competition by overcoming Argentine Diego Schwartzman (14th), 6-3, 6-3 and 7-6 (7-0), in 3 hours and 9 minutes of play.

While the Serbian will try to be champion for the second time on French clay, Nadal will seek to add one more title to the 12 won in the competition in Paris, thus equaling the mark of Roger Federer’s 20 Grand Slam trophies.
