Close to being announced by Grêmio , striker Diego Churín, currently in Cerro Porteño, Paraguay, may have his exit from the country hampered by a judicial imbroglio involving the player and his former accountant, Patricia González.
According to the Paraguayan newspaper UltimaHora, in October last year, Churín and his teammate Hernán Novick denounced Patricia for allegedly being cheated in the payment of their taxes in 2017. Lawyer of the accountant, who was accused by the Public Ministry, Óscar Tuma plans to move action against both athletes for “false allegations and bad faith”, since the process has not yet been concluded.
Requiring the attacker to submit to Paraguay’s justice, Tuma guarantees that he will try to prevent Churín from crossing the border. “We are going to look for the tools to prevent Diego Churín from leaving the country. You cannot leave the country without repairing the damage caused by the false claim against the accountant, who today is my client, ”he said in an interview with Rádio Uno 650 AM, in Asunción.
“The people of Grêmio are also interested in knowing what is happening”, fired the lawyer. When contacted, the Grêmio legal department said they did not know the matter.
