The UK will ban the sale of cars with combustion engines exclusively from 2030, ten years earlier than anticipated.

Hybrid vehicles capable of traveling “significant distances without emitting carbon dioxide” will continue to be sold until 2035, the British government said in a statement.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s executive plans to invest £ 1.3 billion (€ 1.45 billion) in accelerating the expansion of electric charging points.
